Holiday Season Self-Care

During the hustle and bustle this time of year, many of us tend to neglect our own health and wellness. It is important that on top of shopping and never ending to-do lists to take some time for yourself, even if it is a few minutes a day.

Here are a few ideas:

  • Get some exercise in, even a quick yoga practice or walk.
  • Eat hearty, healthy warming foods with lots of veggies and protein.
  • Try a meditation to relax and calm.
  • Use essential oils.
  • Take deep, calming breaths.
  • Fill up a bath and add some epsom salts and candles.
  • Don’t be afraid to say no. Turn down anything you dread.
  • Give yourself a mani/pedi or a facial.
  • Go get a massage.
  • Help in the community.
  • Bake cookies or make ornaments.
  • Keep track of your day through journaling.
  • Be present when with loved ones.
  • Turn off your phone and computer and enjoy the season.
  • Stay organized.
  • Get enough sleep.
  • Watch holiday movies you love.
  • Enjoy a special warm beverage or treat.
  • Have fun decorating your home.
